Your Local Farmgate in Kin Kin

Stocking a wide range of products from grass-fed beef and mushrooms, to eggs and chocolate.

UPDATED OPENING HOURS

FRIDAY 1PM – 4PM

SUNDAY 1PM – 4PM

Locally sourced food, beverages, art, and much more.

We pride ourselves on ensuring all the produce that sits on the shelves of our farmgate is sourced directly from the producer, or grown in SE QLD.
We don’t import anything. We don’t export any of our produce.
We are by local, for local.

Why Shop With Us?

By supporting us through our farmgate, you are actively choosing to support small-businesses from all over the Sunshine Coast.

By voting with your dollar and purchasing produce from our farmgate, you will be helping a small community of growers, producers, and artists continue to pursue their expertise. We work on slim margins with each of our suppliers, such that everyone can make profit and continue doing business reliably. Unlike “Colesworths”, we don’t undercut the folks who stock our shelves. We foster personal relationships beyond business transactions with each of them.

Noosa Cartel

Josh is one of our fondest partners in many ventures we explore on-farm. Since meeting Josh of Noosa Cartel through the Slow Food Noosa group, we have collaborated many times for both products in his range, and selections in our own. Josh is the chef behind our renowned family pies, and tailors each of the recipes by utilising his expertise as a professional chef.

Noosa Cartel supplies Noosa and surrounds with high quality pre-made meals, both fresh and frozen. Josh sources all the ingredients for his dishes locally, and handmakes everything himself.

Particularly of note, he uses our beef in both his Bolognese and Chili Con Carne. You can buy both of these products in our farmgate.

Nutworks

Leza and the team at Nutworks in Yandina have been supporters of our farm since we met them at the Kin Kin Markets. 2023 saw us stocking their shelves with our lion’s mane products, so when we decided to open the farmgate, it only made since to have their sustainably sourced macadamia products on our shelves.

From chocolate-coated macadamias to fudge, there’s plenty to indulge on in the range we have in our farmgate.

Sandy Creek Eggs

Sandy Creek hens forage on pasture by day, and roost in their mobile chicken trailer at night. The hens’ paddocks are surrounded by a dog proof fence and they are watched over by their maremma guardian dogs – Henry and Sandy.

At Sandy Creek the well-being of their hens is important, so their stocking density is 400 birds per hectare, or 25 square metres per hen. Having plenty of space ensures the hens are stress free and are naturally free to roam and forage in pastured paddocks and take dust baths. This means Sandy Creek hens lay eggs with bright yellow yolks and firm whites, reflecting their natural healthy living conditions.

The Steamed Bun Co

Megan was one of the first food producers to back us in both the beef and mushroom space when the paddock-to-plate business was in its infancy. Megan often remarks when we deliver “seconds” oyster mushrooms to her shop – “how can you call these seconds, these are beautiful”. It’s small moments like these which we savour and appreciate in running a small business.

We have fostered a great relationship with Megan, having her set up a stall on-farm for events, sharing the divine taste of her steamed buns.

You can purchase her beef, mushroom, prawn, and many more flavours of steamed bun from our farmgate.
